NIR and PAT
We will add NIR systems to any of our machines larger than the MB005 series. Be aware however that doing so will reduce the maximum size of vessel that can be handled on any of the machines supplied with their own safety guards.
We are proud to work with Viavi as their instrument is small and can be easily added to vessels as small as 100ml.
What can NIR do for you?
In production processes it can be used to halt blending when the system defines that blending is complete i.e. no more change in composition of the product is being observed.
At R & D level and Scale up it provides an invaluable tool to investigate process variable such as:
- Optimal fill volume in the blending vessel
- Optimal rotation speed
- Acceptable vessel filling range
- Variations in performance between:
- Different shell shapes
- Vessel internal surface finishes
- Sequence of loading
- Different sources of ingredients
For the first time it is possible to have a simple definitive end point to allow such studies to be made and allow better scale up information for manufacturing processes.
We can fully integrate the NIR system into the blender control system.
